Coach's Corner

CMB will be hosting a NCCP coaching clinic on April 5, 2019. CMB is committed to developing our coaches skills and knowledge therefore we are asking coaches at the following ages to take the following courses:

An online portion of the Initiation Coach clinic will need to be completed before the clinic portion. You will need to pay the online fee when you register for this course. CMB will reimburse you for this.

 Coach Pitch 

- Initiation Coach Clinic (Recommended for head coaches)

Minor & Major Coaches

- Initiation Coach Clinic (Mandatory for head coaches)

Intermediate & JR & SR Coaches

- Initiation Coach (If not obtained previously), Teaching & Learning, Planning Clinics (Mandatory for head coaches)

- Absolutes, Strategies & Pitching and Catching Clinics (Recommended for head coaches)

Summer Baseball (Allstars)

- Initiation Coach (If not obtained previously), Teaching & Learning, Planning Clinics (Mandatory for head coaches)

- Absolutes, Strategies & Pitching and Catching Clinics (Recommended for head coaches)

Cochrane Minor Ball will pay for these courses as long as you show up for the course.

Coach Selection

House Teams

• Application mandatory
• RCMP police check mandatory (valid if in calendar year)
• Selection made by program coordinator
• Selection criteria will include: experience, judgement and leadership and accreditation's 

Travel Teams

• Application mandatory
• RCMP police check mandatory (valid if in calendar year)
• Selection Committee will select coaches for travel teams
• Selection criteria will include: experience, judgment, leadership and accreditation's
• Mandatory meeting to review season planning, practice planning, Code of Ethics

Accreditation Guidelines

• Online Baseball Canada NCCP initiation clinic recommended for House Program Head Coaches
• Baseball Canada NCCP guidelines for competitive stream Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches
